Edmonton Cantando is a festival that includes a variety of learning experiences for the groups attending. This festival is located at the beautiful Winspear Center and is centered around musical activities specific to each group. All groups have the opportunity to perform in front of an audience of their peers. Attending groups will also have the performance adjudicated which provides them with feedback from music professionals. Concert bands perform the first day of the festival with Choir and Jazz the second. Both of the performance days are also occupied by ensemble workshops and masterclasses.

In addition to the Educational aspects of participating in the festival, students are able to engage in leisure activities. Among the opportunities available are evening concerts, school performances, visits to West Edmonton Mall and the Amusement and Water Parks, group dinners at a local restaurant and more!
