We have included a few ideas, but if you have something else in mind, share your thoughts and we will be delighted to put together a tour that’s just for you! |
Kelowna |
When thinking about British Columbia, Vancouver and Victoria are usually the first destinations coming to mind. However, the province is also home to less travelled, but no less spectacular gems! Kelowna is a vibrant natural city hosting the Kiwanis Festival in which your students can engage, but also offering several cultural and recreational activities such as a variety of museums, theatre, bowling, laser tag, outdoor parks, and more. Located in a semi-arid desert, unique in BC, it will allow you and your students for a distinctive experience. |
Edmonton |
Alberta’s capital city is a cultural, governmental, and educational centre, making it an insightful city for students to visit on a day trip. A guided tour of the Legislature Buildings will provide a framework for understanding the province’s history, parliamentary process, and the architecture of this surprising heritage building. Next, the Telus World of Science will engage your students’ curiosity through active learning with a DIY experiment on a scientific phenomenon; or, if more connected to your curriculum, the Royal Alberta Museum will expose them to Alberta’s environmental heritage. Students will end this educational day blowing off some steam at the famous West Edmonton Mall, where they will be able to choose among several exciting activities such as the Water Park, Galaxyland and Blacklight Minigolf. |
Ontario |
Out of the ten provinces, Ontario is the largest, with a population of over 14 million people. This province is crucial to Canadian history, and it is the location of the Canadian capital Ottawa. Upon visiting this important city, you can tour Parliament Hill’s Victorian architecture, Rideau Hall, Museum of Civilization, Canadian War Museum, Museum of Nature, Science Museum, Royal Canadian Mint and the National Gallery. Cruise or skate on the Rideau Canal, and the Ottawa River. Another destination within Ontario well worth visiting is Toronto known for sights such as CN Tower, Royal Ontario Museum, Casa Loma, Toronto Science Centre, Eaton’s Centre, the Hockey Hall of Fame, Nathan Philips Square, Broadway Musicals and Plays. While visiting both these cities, there are a lot of opportunities to include special events such as going to a Blue Jays game, going to the symphony and visiting Canada’s Wonderland. In addition to these cities, you can visit the Niagara Falls and historical and picturesque Niagara-on-the-Lake when in Ontario. |
We hope that you are feeling inspired and are looking forward to designing your next tailor-made itinerary with you. |
