ITINERARY
Day 1: Departure Day
- Fly from departure city to Paris.
Day 2: Arrive - Paris to Vimy Ridge
- On arrival in Paris you will be met by an Educational World Tours representative and transferred to Vimy Ridge. You will be accompanied by a Tour Manager during your stay in Europe.
- The drive to Vimy Ridge takes approx. 2.5 hours.
- On arrival in Vimy Ridge you will take part in the following visits:
- Tour of the Canadian National Vimy Memorial Park.
- Tour of the underground tunnels and trenches in the Canadian National Vimy Memorial Park.
- Visit the two Commonwealth War Graves Commission maintained cemeteries in the Canadian National Vimy Memorial Park.
- Afterwards check into your hotel.
- Dinner at your hotel or local restaurant.

Day 3: Vimy Ridge / Caen
- Breakfast at your hotel.
- Drive from Vimy to Beaumont Hamel (approx. 1-hour drive)
- Visit Beaumont Hamel and the Battle of the Somme site - entrances where necessary.
- Also visit the Thiepval Memorial, the largest British war memorial in the world.
- Drive to Caen (approx. 3.5 hours)
- Check into your hotel.
- Dinner at your hotel or local restaurant

Day 4: Caen - Day Trip to Pegasus Bridge and Juno Beach
- Breakfast at your hotel.
- This morning you will visit the Pegasus Bridge and Pegasus Bridge Museum which tells the story of the 6th (Airborne) Division on D'Day.
- The original Pegasus Bridge is on the grounds of the Museum after it was replaced some years ago.
- Continue on to visit the Canadian War Cemetery in Beny Sur Mer.
- This afternoon you will start a half day bike tour from Courseulles sur Mer to Juno Beach. Visit Canada's Juno Beach Centre. After your visit you will see the remains of Mulberry harbour (artificial harbor).
- Return to Caen.
- Dinner at your hotel or local restaurant

Day 5: Caen - Day Trip to Arromanches and Omaha Beach
- Breakfast at your hotel.
- Morning visit to Arromanches where the first Mulberry was built. The film "The Price of Freedom" mixes unreleased archive footage from war correspondents with present day and the building also houses an exhibition.
- Continue on to Omaha Beach. After some time on the beach you will stop at Pont du Hoc to see the Memorial before visiting the Visitor's Centre and then the cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer.
- On the way back to Caen you will visit Bayeux and see the Bayeux Tapestry.
- This tapestry dates back to the 1070s and depicts the Norman conquest of England.
- Dinner at your hotel or local restaurant

Day 6: Caen / Paris
- Breakfast at your hotel.
- This morning you will visit the Normandy Museum.
- Enjoy some free time in Caen.
- Afternoon drive to Paris (approx. 3 hours).
- Dinner at your hotel or local restaurant.

Day 7: Paris
- Breakfast at your hotel.
- Morning tour of Paris with a local sightseeing guide including the Tomb of Napoleon.
- Visit the Louvre Museum.
- Late afternoon visit to the Eiffel Tower.
- Dinner at a local restaurant.
- Evening cruise on the Seine River.

Day 8: Departure from Paris
- Fly from Paris to home city.
